GPF / OPF / PPF Delete

GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter), OPF (Otto Particulate Filter), and PPF (Petrol Particulate Filter) are particulate filters introduced on petrol vehicles with Euro 6d emission standards. Like diesel DPF, they cause clogging, high exhaust temperatures, and performance loss. At Ankara Gazi Automotive, we perform GPF/OPF/PPF delete in software at our Şaşmaz/Etimesgut center.

Why Is GPF/OPF/PPF Delete Done?

• High spare parts cost: OEM GPF/OPF replacement is very expensive.
• Exhaust back pressure: GPF increases exhaust pressure on turbo petrol engines, causing power loss.
• Clogging: GPF clogs over time when short city trips prevent regeneration.
• Performance purpose: Filter removal may be required for Stage 2+ software compatibility.
• Sound character: GPF delete makes exhaust sound more sporty and distinctive.

Which Vehicles Have Them?

Found on nearly all turbo petrol vehicles built to Euro 6d-TEMP and later: BMW B48, B58 engines (118i, 320i, 330i, 520i, 530i, M340i, X3, X5), Mercedes M264, M256 engines (A180, A200, C180, C200, E200), Audi EA888 evo4 (A3 35 TFSI, A4 40 TFSI, Q5 TFSI), VW 1.5 TSI / 2.0 TSI (Golf, Tiguan, Passat), Porsche 911, Panamera, Macan turbo petrol, Ford EcoBoost (Focus ST, Fiesta ST), etc.

How Is GPF/OPF Delete Performed?

1. Diagnostic scan and software backup.
2. Software delete: Differential pressure sensor, regeneration cycles, temperature sensors, and GPF fault monitoring disabled in software.
3. Software load and ECU adaptation.
4. Physical delete (optional): Filter emptied or replaced with straight pipe (for Stage 2).
5. Test drive and fault code clearing.

What to Expect After the Procedure

• Check engine light turns off permanently.
• Exhaust back pressure drops; turbo runs more efficiently.
• Throttle response improves.
• Exhaust sound becomes more sporty.
• Compatible with Stage 2+ software.
